OUR Counsellors
We are both graduates of diplomas in integrative psychodynamic/person centred counselling and post graduates in are own fields of expertise. We work to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework to ensure good practice for our clients. We hold our clients at the heart of our work, and ensure that counselling is a safe place where they can work through present issues or issues arising from the past.

Pq Dip children and young people. Dip integrated psychodynamic
person centred counselling
I work from an integrated approach, psychodynamic/person centred which I tailor to meet the needs of each client so they can get the best possible service and experience from their counselling. I can work short term solution focused or longer term depending on the presenting problem.
I also have experience working with children and young people which can be tailored to include creative therapy, CBT and systemic practice.I currently manage a children and young peoples counselling service, which includes schools counselling and psycho educational programmes to engage young people and their parents.
I have worked in the health and social care sector for 16 years with people at all stages of life and varying needs. After years of training in counselling I feel that it is a privilage to see the change that clients can make for themselves through our therapeutic alliance.

Mandy Rafferty, (Accred)Ncs, PGdip., BA(Hons), Dip.integrative
Dip integrative psychodynamic and person centred counselling
I have worked in the voluntary sector for 25 years plus. Much of this time has been spent actively engaging in direct helping work with people. I am especially committed to counselling as a means to try to help people attain their potential and to live life to the full.
Counselling can help people see how perhaps their past has influenced their behaviour in the present. As a trained professional practitioner I will help you to explore past and present and perhaps help you build on your strengths and discover new ways of being. However I am led by the individual therefore if you
do not want to work at this deeper level, this will not be something that will be forced on you. As an integrative practitioner I offer psychotherapy (person-centred/psychodynamic) as well as cognitive behavioural therapy.
I offer both short-term and longer-term work. Initially we will work through an assessment. This will help to determine if what I can offer you is in your best interests.
